Privacy Notice

The Little Grimoire is built to feel like a sealed room — a place where what you bring to it stays yours. This page explains, plainly, what we actually collect, why, and where it goes. Nothing here is hidden in legal language we wouldn't use in conversation.

What we never store

The words you write when describing what you need — your "need" text — are never saved in our database. They travel just far enough to generate your ritual, and then they're gone from anywhere we control. We don't read them, keep them, or use them for anything beyond creating that one ritual for you in that moment.

What we do collect, and why

If you generate rituals without an email, we track only an anonymous, randomly generated ID — tied to your browser, not to you — so we know how many free rituals you've used. It identifies a visit, not a person.

If you choose to purchase credits or a keepsake card, we ask for your email. This is used for exactly one purpose: to know which account to credit, and to send you a receipt. We don't use it for marketing, and we don't sell or share it with anyone outside the services listed below that are needed to run the Grimoire itself.

The services that help run the Grimoire

A few outside services are involved in making the Grimoire work, each with a narrow, specific role:

• Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing and is the merchant of record for any purchase — they see your payment details directly; we never do.
• Supabase stores the minimal account data described above (email and credit balance, if you've purchased credits).
• Make.com is the automation service that helps generate your ritual — each one is created freshly for you when you ask, never pre-written, never stored afterward. Make.com briefly keeps technical logs of this process for up to 7 days, after which they are automatically deleted. This is an operational log, not something we browse — but in the interest of being fully honest, it does mean your need text exists somewhere outside our own database for a short window, even though it is never stored by us directly.
• Google Analytics helps us understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the site and roughly how they move through it — page views, general location at a country/region level, and similar traffic patterns. This is anonymized, aggregate behaviour data; it is not tied to your email or any ritual content.

Crisis & safety detection

If something you write signals that you may be in real distress, the Grimoire responds with calm, supportive content rather than continuing the ritual as requested. This detection happens in the moment, is never stored afterward, and is never used to build a profile of you. It exists only to make sure the right, gentle response reaches you right then.

Your choices

You're welcome to use the free tier without ever giving an email. If you've purchased credits and want your email and balance removed, write to the hearth and we'll take care of it.
